We strive to take extra care when providing tours by making sure each tour has all the necessary permits and park entrance fees as well as keeping a forward eye on future conservation efforts. Not only do we take the time to educate visitors about the local ecology, but we may stop along the way during your tour to pick up trash from the water. It’s just our way of giving back to Mother Nature!

On Isla Mujeres Water Tours gives us the chance to do what we love - to show the world what we like to think of as Heaven on Earth. It’s the people of Isla Mujeres who make this island a special place and it’s important to us to give back to our local community. On Isla Mujeres Water Tours is currently sponsoring two students through the Isla Mujeres Scholarship Fund. In addition, we are an annual 3 Kings Day sponsor, regularly donate to the Isla Mujeres Diabetes Clinic and Isla Animals, a canine clinic that offers free spaying and neutering and sponsors puppy adoptions. We have also donated blankets to DIF, the local women’s and children’s center.

On Isla Mujeres Water Tours is based on, well you guessed it...Isla Mujeres! This beautiful island off the coast of Cancun is about 7 kilometers long (4.3 miles) with a population of over 13,000. The name Isla Mujeres translates in English to "Island of Women".

Mayans considered Isla Mujeres a sacred place and dedicated it to Ixchecl, goddess of childbirth and medicine. When the Spanish conquistadors arrived they named it "Isla Mujeres" because of the images of goddesses that were found all around the island. Today you can still see the remains of a small Mayan Temple on the Southern Tip of the island known as "Punta Sur".

With numerous places to eat fresh seafood and shop, and one of the World's Top 10 Beaches, Isla Mujeres is a fantastic place to spend a day - or your whole vacation. We are proud to call her home.
